Kerry French
Proprietor/Instructor

Kerry has owned and operated Sydney Equestrian Centre for just over 10 years, and is an NCAS Level 1 coach.  

Kerry started riding when she was 6 years old and progressed through local competitions to Advanced Level Eventing.  As a young rider she was a NSW Young Rider Squad Member for Eventing and competed in Dressage and Showjumping also.  Over the last 8 years she has been focussed on running one of the finest riding schools in Sydney and Hills District. 

Kerry still competes regularly in Dressage and Eventing on young horses she hopes will compete at the highest levels in the future. 

Kerry currently has high hopes for her young horse "Gatineau" who is being
campaigned in eventing and showjumping by Tallara Barwick. He has clocked up
several wins and placings from limited starts and looks very promising.

Kerry is married with three children, Olivia, Jasmine and James. 

Tallara Barwick
Instructor & Stables Professional Competition Rider

Tallara is currently the main Instructor/Coach at Sydney Equestrian Centre. She is qualified NCAS Level 1 instructor.
She is also kept busy as the stables main rider, schooling boarders and clients horses.

Tallara has been a very successful rider and producer of competition horses over the years, she is also
a dedicated coach happy to assist her pupils at home and at events.

Some of her achievements include Young Rider of the Year in 2004.
Winning Lakes & Craters 3DE 1* on Wynella Whiskey, and numerous other wins and placings on
Cerutti, Ferragamo, Divine Story & Nikita.

She is currently campaigning "Gatineau" & "Waterlily" for Kerry French along with a young team of horses in training.
Tally hopes to take one of the up and coming horses oversea's and compete at one of the international Three Day Events in future.

Tallara loves teaching children and adults of all levels and is always available for help and advice to her pupils.

 

Emilie Holden
Head Groom

Emilie has been associated with Sydney Equestrian Centre for 10 years.
Emilie learnt to ride at SEC then progressed through the years to owning her own
pony and now eventing horses.
Emilie has a lot of experience working with horses. She used to work at SEC on weekends, and has returned
as the Head Groom after a period of time working in the racehorse industry.

 

Belinda O'Toole - Instructor

Belinda has been the Saturday SuperCoach for 12 months. She is always keen to teach and help
her clients progress in a fun and educational manner.

Belinda has a keen interest in Dressage and Breeding.
She is currently training and competing on her bay thoroughbred gelding "Holster".
She bred her first foal in 2007 and hopes to have more beautiful foals in 2008.

Belinda has over 20 years teaching experience and has been very involved in Pony Club over the past years.

Carly Johnston - Instructor

Carly started working part time at Sydney Equestrian Centre in 2005 as head groom.
In 2006 Carly began teaching weekdays and in the school holidays. She is very keen
at becoming a high level coach and studies in different aspects of riding and coaching
to persue her goal.

Carly is a high level eventing rider and has had much success with her top horse
Falcon Felix at 2** level, other horses including Just Tabloids & Kimba.

Carly is also available for schooling clients horses based at SEC.

Jessica Kelly - Weekend Head Groom

Jess has been grooming at Sydney Equestrian Centre for 7 years.
She is responsible for weekend lessons running on time and to plan.
Jess is experienced in teaching the littlies and is a great pony party
co-ordinator!

Jessica is currently riding and competing on her stunning horse
'Dress Circle'. 



Jamie Torzillo and Georgia Tessier - Saturday Grooms

Jamie & Georgi are a terrific help on Saturday's and during the School Holidays.
Both girls are very capable and often step in if one of the Head Grooms are unable to work,
either feeding or helping out with preparing horses for lessons.

Jamie is currently leasing Sully, chestnut Arab gelding and Georgi is leasing
Nudge, Appalossa gelding from Sydney Equestrian Centre.
